Maria Arlene Fernali T. Disimulacion (Bam) is an academician, consultant, entrepreneur, and author. She has over 30 years of experience in MICE and special events management, marketing, communications, training, and strategic management in the Philippines and abroad. She has managed international events for which she received several awards for innovative concepts and strategic execution. She is a consultant to public, non-government, and private organizations and a sought-after panel discussant, guest speaker, moderator, and peer reviewer. Her research areas are MICE and special events, creative tourism, bicycle tourism, and sustainability. She has written several books on tourism and hospitality, including the “International Best Practice in Event Management based on APIEM Certified Event Manager,” and the International Best Practice in Creative Event Design” published by Prasetiya Mulya Publishing.
