On 1 July 2020 an agreement was signed between the Institute of Event Management (IEM), Sri Lanka and APIEM to offer the APIEM Certified Event Qualifications to event professionals and event faculty lecturers in Sri Lanka. IEM aims to contribute to the professionalisation of the events industry in Sri Lanka and one way in which this will be achieved is by offering the APIEM Certified Event Qualifications commencing August 2020.
